The best desktop computers for 2023: Dell, HP, Apple, and moreīest graphics cards 2023: finding the best GPU for gaming I just tucked the mini back behind my screen and the WiFi is fine so just the act of unplugging and re-plugging that external disk resulted in the WiFi problems resolving. My Macbook Pro M1 has not had any issues like this, perhaps these challenges were known and are why the Macbook pro was limited to just 2x thunderbolt/USB4. When working the WiFi runs very well, so far I have peaked at 416mbps across my internal network to my NAS. It seems that there are IO issues and I hope Apple can fix them. No access point changes or anything like that. I ejected my external hard drive and unplugged it and all network resumed. I moved it back out and two pings worked to my internal network but then it was still off. I did move the Mini 2 inches to tuck it behind my screen. Wifi showed connected so it wasn't an authentication issue. Later Wifi crapped out again after leaving the mini sitting for a while, it was not rebooted, turned off or anything. It only reconnected when I made a small change on my access point (turned on signal boost) WiFi crapped out again and turning off bluetooth did not help. Anything that helps is welcome! I notice that my mouse is smoother as well and overall the network performance seems snappier. I also removed the thunderbolt bridge and ethernet from network settings as another person suggested just in case. Currently my bluetooth headphones are fine along with WiFi but that could change later. I moved my logitech mouse to use the unified receiver instead of bluetooth and wired in my bluetooth speaker. So limit the number of Bluetooth devices you use for now. It wasn't until I turned off Bluetooth that WiFi was completely fine. I did all kinds of troubleshooting, resetting all the network settings etc. In my case there was a conflict between bluetooth and wifi, I could not authenticate to WiFi at all, whether it be my home or mobile hotspot. Still don't know what the issue was but that resolved it, so I'm writing this up in case anyone else runs into a problem. So for some reason my mini didn't want to communicate with my router briefly until I jostled the control channels around. It was set to 'Auto' and I moved it around and connected to couple slower channels, and then eventually moved it back to 'Auto' and it is working again. I couldn't really figure out what was going on until I started messing around with the control channels on my router config (192.168.1.1) on my phone browser. So I made my phone a hotspot and my mini connected to that just fine. I began searching for some stuff and couldn't really find anything and I was hoping that my mini wasn't just broken. However, my phone was connected to my Wifi and working just fine. The wheel would just spin and say "Connection failed." with no other information. This morning I reset my modem and router, and then afterwards my Mini would not connect back to my wifi. I thought this might help some people out that are having Wifi issues, not using bluetooth btw.
